It’s football season which means Friday nights are reserved for my nephew’s football games. He’s been playing football since he was 5 and ever since I can remember we’ve been going to games to support his dream. He’s a Sophomore in high school now which means these years are the years that are really going to count in his football career. His goal is to head to Florida State after high school to not only play football but to become a doctor.
Can you say goals?
I love his dedication. I’ve never seen a kid work so hard towards doing something that they love. He’s the first one on the field at practice and the last one off. He’s going to do big things. I’m proud of him and proud of his team. They truly work hard and work well together at every practice and game. I’m sure they love winning as much as they love the game. Tony’s loves when we win too, that’s why they’re giving you a chance to win some amazing prizes.
All of that hard work works up an even bigger appetite though. So before every game I make sure that our bellies are full and we’re ready to cheer him on. My crockpot queso dip is the perfect quick and easy dish for pre-gaming before those Friday night games. It’s made with only 3 ingredients with 2 simple steps and is done in no time.
Crockpot Queso Dip
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey for a lower calorie option
- 1-8oz can of diced tomatoes with desired heat (original, mild, or hot)
- 16oz melting cheese, cut into cubes
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into the crockpot and stir.
- Cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Once my dip is done, I pop a Tony’s Pizza in the oven for 20 minutes and serve it with the dip and chips. I love Tony’s Pizza for game day. The layers of light, crispy, crunchy crust topped with sauce made from real tomatoes and covered in 100% real mozzarella cheese is just what we need to get us ready for the big game. When I’m shopping in Walmart, I tend to usually grab the Tony’s® Pizzeria Style Meat-Trio and a cheese. We love game day almost as much as we love this crockpot queso dip with Tony’s Pizza. There’s never any leftovers when I make this dish before Friday night football. Make sure to try it on your next game day and tell me what you think.

OH my, Queso and pizza just scream “Game Day” food! What a great idea for pre-game dinner! And I love the simplicity, because who has time for a big time-consuming dinner when you are hurrying out to watch the game? #client
